More More Sale: From Helmut Lang, Karen Zambos, LAMB, Etc

Honestly we just don't know where to start with all this sale stuff, but as we figure it out, we will gravitate to the cashmere things, and the coat things, because it is still cold as fuck. Above: Ella Moss cashmere dress, was $304, now $152

We have seriously wanted this coat for like a million years \ three months. That is a lot of coat for a not-entirely-absurd amount of money. Karen Zambos Vintage Couture swing coat, was $561, now $280.50

We would be fairly happy with this coat as well. It totally looks like she is not wearing any bottoms. L.A.M.B. bubble coat, was $485, now $242.50

This is not cheap. Chiffon! Never enough chiffon in the world. Or something. Rag & Bone swing dress, was $560, now $280

We swear these exact same jeans, more or less, were Oprah's pick yesterday for slimming denim. James Jeans - Dry Aged denim, were $198, now $99

That is nice pair of black pants, well discounted, but NB they're final sale so try on elsewhere. Helmut Lang stovepipes, was $355, now $106.50

Our Afternoon Sale Picks: American Eagle Sweaters

But NB: We saw a couple of these in the store for less.

We bought this sweater! Typically we are firmly against the cotton sweater (given, as it is, to the bagging \ sagging), but ... nothing ventured, nothing gained, etc. AE rugby sweater, was $49.50, now $34.95

We swear we saw the exact same sweater in Abercrombie last year, but given our feelings on Abercrombie, we're happier to buy it here. A year later. Faux fur hoodie, was $99.50, now $69.95

This is the kind of top we never, ever buy, because we'd rather buy something with sequins. But then, not every occasion calls for sequins. Er, most do. But some, tragically, do not. Scoop neck sweater, was $44.50, now $19.95

Some On Sale, Some Not: Anthropologie

We are always so confused this time of year: Do we buy sale things? Or do we buy new things?
Er, so this is not exactly Sophie's choice, etc., but it does press on our apparently rabbit-sized brain, pun notwithstanding. We were thinking, then, that we'd talk about three things that are on sale, and three new things. Inevitably we are drawn to the bright and shiny. We are hoping we stay strong.

We need to plan a trip, immediately, to somewhere we can wear this. Stat! Shoals Harvest dress, $128

This dress makes us want to move to the country and work in a diner. And bake pies. And see that movie with Keri Russell. Viola Season dress, $238

We feel like this is one of those tops you see in Lucky with a turtleneck for now and on its own for spring. We obviously support this perspective. Buena Vista blouse, $88

This is so Maggie Gyllenhaal-ish Secretary, we are just slobbering all over it. Stellar Wind blouse, was $88, now $49.95

If we have learned anything in the last six months or so, it's that sometimes what you need more than anything is a boring, conservative dress that's not too short or fun. Etc. Stratus dress, was $338, now $199.95

We see this and can hardly imagine anything more boring, which is why we never have a proper shirt to wear underneath a super volume-y tunic. Rebecca Beeson cowlneck tee, was $68, now $39.95

Searching Boxes!

So obviously we write this hoping that no one is reading this, because everyone is at the mall or the park or the tropical island having a wonderful vacation. We are sprucing the shit up around here, if you will forgive the entirely unnecessary profanity, and we introduce: our search box! We just searched for "James Blunt" and we found all this stuff we wrote when we actually thought he was cute. (This is unlikely to recur in 2008. Can we say that our brain is so fried that we just had to look up "recur" to make sure it's a word.)

Anyhoo, we'll be back stronger than ever in 2008 (er, if we do say so ourselves) and we'll be doing some behind the scenes work for the next few days. As always we love to know what is up with everyone and we pray and expect everyone is having a super-fun time.

Above, just one of the five million things currently on sale: Charlotte Ronson's Paddington coat, was $398, now $278.60
